Heart disease continues to be the No. 1 killer of both men and women in our country. Stroke is the No. 5 killer, and the No. 1 cause of disability in the U.S. Heart disease kills 1 American every 40 seconds – that’s about 2,150 lives lost every day.

HARD HATS WITH HEART
The AHA launched its first Hard Hats With Heart event in 2016. We wanted to reach out to individuals working in construction-related businesses who could benefit from our resources and educational opportunities. As part of Hard Hats With Heart, participating companies are receiving free Hands-Only CPR training for their employees, in addition to other resources that can help them improve the health of their employees. |
