Paula Carynski, President of OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center. Paula has been with OSF for 30 years, 16 of these have been at the executive level. Prior to President, she was the Vice President of Patient Care Services for 14 years. Paula is a graduate of the Saint Anthony College of Nursing, Rockford University, and has her Master of Science in Nursing Administration from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Paula is board certified as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and Advanced Nursing Administration. In 2012 Paula was the recipient of the Rockford Chamber Business Manager of the Year and one of the Twenty People You Should Know. In 2014 Paula was honored with the YWCA Business Award and Award of Distinction from Rockford University. Most recently, 2015, Paula was named to Becker's Hospital Review's "130 Women Hospital and Health System Leaders to Know". Paula has served on multiple not-for-profit boards and active in the community. Most currently she serves as vice-chair Rosecrance Board of Directors, Transform Rockford, Rockford Chamber Lead 360, and the American Heart Association GoRed for Women.
In the role of president, Paula directs all internal operations of OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center while developing and implementing strategies that provide high quality and cost effective health care.
