I first became involved with AHA/ASA 6 years ago when my youngest daughter played high school basketball, wanting her team to experience community involvement, learn about fundraising efforts and the importance of heart healthy lifestyles. Almost every girl on the team had someone in their family affected by heart disease or stroke so it was a wonderful cause for the team to support. Since that time I have been on AHA/ASA's Passion Committee and also served as a Go Red Ambassador with Go Red for Women, however 3 years ago when my oldest daughter had a stroke at 20 years old the mission of AHA/ASA became extremely personal and has turned into a passion of mine to educate others on the signs/symptoms of stroke, what to do if you experience them, and that stroke can happen to anyone, at any age. My daughter being a stroke survivor is my #WHY. Please help me raise money as a member of AHA/ASA's Open Your Heart Executive Leadership Committee to support Madison Go Red For Women and fight heart disease and stroke...Thank you for your kindness, for your support, and for your generous donation!
